Compiling reflections issue

So I'm having a bit of trouble with compiling reflections using the CoD4 compiler. I'm pretty sure I ran into this issue a few years back, but I took a long break from mapping and I don't remember how I solved it.

Basically when I try to compile reflections for the map I'm working on, I get an error when cod4 opens, saying something about punkbuster not being initialized. When I clear the error, I'm put in the MP main menu, and the reflections don't compile. I've tried to roll back the version of punkbuster currently installed on my machine, but it keeps updating to the latest version. Anyone have a solution for this?

There is a punkbuster fix Ieuan can tell you more about that.

But don,t understand what punkbuster has to do with compile...

There's probably a check somewhere in the executable that makes sure punkbuster is running or initialized in this case... It's frustrating to say the least.
