Yeah i added that to my zone file.  That's where I messed up the first time, the formatting of the tutorial threw me off too.

Pretty sure I got it right, but apparently not, lol.

Send RaGe a PM and see what he suggests.

I had the same issue but RaGe straightened me out. You only have to modify your .csc and your .zone files. It is not as complicated as the original tutorial that he posted. Here are the example files I got from RaGe. They are .rtf files but I just copied and pasted to my appropriate map files.

Here is that coding......

FOR YOUR .CSC FILE....

#using scripts\codescripts\struct;
#using scripts\shared\util_shared;
#using scripts\mp\_load;
#using scripts\mp\_util;
#using scripts\mp\mp_backlot_xmas_fx;
#using scripts\mp\mp_backlot_xmas_sound;

#insert scripts\shared\shared.gsh;

function main()
{
	mp_backlot_xmas_fx::main();
	mp_backlot_xmas_sound::main();

	load::main();
	util::waitforclient( 0 );	// This needs to be called after all systems have been registered.

level.endGameXCamName = "ui_cam_endgame_mp_sector"; (add this line to your .csc file in this spot)

FOR YOUR ZONE FILE......

>class,mp_mod_level
>group,modtools

material,compass_map_mp_backlot_xmas
material,compass_map_mp_backlot_xmas_scrambled

col_map,maps/mp/mp_backlot_xmas.d3dbsp
gfx_map,maps/mp/mp_backlot_xmas.d3dbsp

scriptparsetree,scripts/mp/mp_backlot_xmas.gsc
scriptparsetree,scripts/mp/mp_backlot_xmas_sound.gsc
scriptparsetree,scripts/mp/mp_backlot_xmas_fx.gsc

scriptparsetree,scripts/mp/mp_backlot_xmas.csc
scriptparsetree,scripts/mp/mp_backlot_xmas_sound.csc
scriptparsetree,scripts/mp/mp_backlot_xmas_fx.csc

xmodel,skybox_default_day

sound,mp_backlot_xmas

xcam,ui_cam_endgame_mp_sector (add this line to your zone file at the end like this)

sorry guys, i cocked up the script files.

Here's my xmas Backlot script files. You can see I ripped heaps out of them.

xmas_backlot_files.zip

I've asked Steve to give me access to my tuts so I can fix them. In my rush to get the info out there, i supplied a dodgy tutorial. I've been offline for quite some time now, so I've not had time to fix it as yet.

If there's anything else you find problems with, please let me know.

Sorry for the bad info.
